History

The Mader story began in the 1960’s with the establishment of Ron Gee Enterprises, an industrial fibreglass manufacturer based in Penguin on Tasmania’s North West Coast. During the 1980’s the Directors of Ron Gee Enterprises recognised a market niche in the ambulance building field and quickly transferred their fibreglassing expertise and management to the ambulance production arena, in the process establishing a reputation for quality and customer focus and developing a vast array of required skills in-house.

Mader grew rapidly as demand for its products increased. The company has now supplied a wide range of ambulance and special vehicles to most of the major service providers throughout Australia. A market has also been established to supply ambulance vehicles to the mining industry that are suitable for various service applications.

The company has established an enviable reputation for after sales support and service which the Mader Directors view as an integral and essential part of their operations.

The special vehicle division of Mader International is a market leader in its field and has evolved over the years to produce an array of vehicles and components that are second to none.
